Compensation:
This role is commission-based and compensation is dependent on quantity of and value of contracts. Expectation is to bring in 4-6 new projects per week.
As design industry sales often require a bit more legwork and follow up to build relationships with people, salespeople will earn 10-30% of the net profit on a project, depending on experience and how many new contracts you bring in. Refer to sample numbers for estimated commission.
Ex: $10,000 total project – $4,000 project expenses (engineering, permit fees, consultants) = $6,000
$6,000 – $2,400 (40% for taxes) = $3,600 net profit
$3,600 x 10% = $360 up to $3,600 x 30% = $1,080 per project signed
Note: You will be given leads every month to follow up on. Any projects you bring in using your own outreach, will add an extra 5% to your compensation.
